When cleaning a toilet:
Use a leaner inside the bowl that has good viscosity: example: Lysol cling
Aim for the under the lip of the bowl. Leave on for 15-30 minutes. Scrub with a brush that has two wires. One large one for the bowl and a small one for the lip.
After scrubbing flush twice to remove all chemical residue. If stains persist you may use CLR to remove rut stains and you can use a pumice stone to remove hard water residue and mold from under the lip.
Spray a disinfectant around the outside of the bowl and around the toilet seat and tank. Let sit for 5 minutes for disinfection and then wipe clean with a wet cloth. Finally, use a dry cloth to dry and shine your toilet.
